Hokkaido is the northern island of Japan, historically known as “Ezo” meaning wild area. It is the last frontier in Japan: it remained virtually undeveloped till 150 years ago. With its great food and abundant nature, Hokkaido is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan.
